Tonight I went to see Milk, and oh how wonderful it was. Sean Penn= amazing. Story of Harvey Milk= amazing. Milk made me tear up but yet I left the theatre wholly uplifted.
After tonight, I have seen 4/5 of the nominated films for Best Picture (all but The Reader). The official line up reads like this:
Slumdog Millionaire
Milk
The Reader
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Frost/Nixon
After seeing four of these fantastic films, I am placing my money on the lil' film that could: Slumdog Millionaire. However, honestly I would like to see Milk win, or at least see Sean Penn win for Best Actor. We will have to wait and see on February 22nd at the 81st Academy Awards.
