There are many reasons to be thankful for this coming Friday (June 26th), one of them being the re-opening of DC's beloved Eastern Market.
Eastern Market was destroyed by fire in April of 2007. After a few years and $20million, the historic market is ready to become a bustling DC staple yet again.
The Washingtonian received a sneak peak of the market's makeover; click here to see.
Prepare to spend a leisurely weekend shopping and indulging in market treats; now with the added bonus of air conditioning AND restrooms.
