Trust for the National Mall Tea

Nationally recognized design and decorating expert Carolyne Roehm joins the Trust for the National Mall for Tea tomorrow June 4th at 2pm at the home of committee member Julie Connors in Georgetown. The event is a celebration of the committee's recent success in raising $1 million for restoration of the dilapidated National Mall. The Trust is making great strides in improving one of the most beautiful, recognizable and historical areas in our Nation's capitol.
Visit the Trust for the National Mall's official website for more information on the Trust and how to help out a great cause!

"The National Mall is a national park suffering from over 30 years of neglect. The current deferred maintenance budget is $350 million, and the Trust estimates that the park needs an additional $100 million in visitor improvements. The Trust hopes to also raise $50 million for educational and interpretive programming to share the Mall’s rich history with the 25 million visitors who visit the park each year."
