Washingtonians Rejoice! Screen on the Green is Back




Screen on the Green, the free outdoor film festival is set to return for its 10th summer on the National Mall.
After facing some turbulent and uncertain waters, the beloved DC event, Screen on the Green has been salvaged!
HBO announced today that the Trust for the National Mall and Comcast have partnered together to bring the festival back to life.
Representatives from HBO and Comcast stated that the enormous grassroots efforts of DC residents and fervent fans of Screen on the Green was the main reason in keeping the tradition alive.
Way to go Washingtonians!
Screen on the Green will live on every Monday evening from July 20th until August 10th. The first film featured will be the famed Steven Spielberg flick, Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

So, Monday July 20th, prepare to venture on down the the National Mall (between 4th and 7th Streets) to enjoy the great tradition that is Screen on the Green under the stars and the awe inspiring capitol.
